This product sounds interesting!
The MiFi gets its Internet signal the same way those cellular modems do — in this case, from Verizon’s excellent 3G (high-speed) cellular data network. If you just want to do e-mail and the Web, you pay $40 a month for the service (250 megabytes of data transfer, 10 cents a megabyte above that). If you watch videos and shuttle a lot of big files, opt for the $60 plan (5 gigabytes).
I just have no clue how much I would use... is there some tool I can install on Windows to track my MB usage?

Sprint too (but $60, not $40 per month):

Found some usage tracking programs I am going to try out, but I did noticed that on my iphone in 22 days I have 4 MB up / 72 MB down and I would say that is after very light use, checking email some, receiving some pictures and sending some, and not much web surfing...

I don't get Cell providers fee structures why pay $60 when you can tether your phone for $40.00 (or less if you can find a discount code on one of the may sites listing such) and receive the same 5GB limit?

I usually work from home on Mondays and recently my router crapped out (plug computer into cable modem directly and I got about 20 Mbps, put router inbtween and I got half, add another computer and I got less than 1 Mbps).
Also, I for a while was loosing connection around noonish on Mondays up to for 1/2 hour, somethimes because they were doing some work it sounded like from when I called support...
Would have been nice to have a backup like one of the above.

I do not get Cell providers fee structures either... but can you have a wifi accesspoint like these hooked up to the tethered phone?

Also, to me it would be nice to have the cell wifi access point like this on a different carrier than my phone in case there was not good covereage for one or the other. Just don't know if 250 MB is woth $40 a month to me (or even more so to my wife... she loves her new iphone though), and at $60 a month (for 5 GB) it gets a little expensive...
