20 people needed 4 Non SCCA Work/Run free practice Sept 13th

Post by Doug Teulie »

Non SCCA Work/Run free practice Sept 13th.
This event will be at Irwindale Speedway inside the track.
Work assignment includes cone chasing. Usually workers get 8-12 runs.

If you have a trailer and a tow vehicle park the rig just outside of the track near the entrance to the oval.
That is inside the gate (not the outside parking lot or the street) near the entrance to the oval.
Bring your track cars to the infield and setup on the inside. You can unload your truck on the inside if you want but keep the trailers out of the infield.

This is the worker list.

Toyota Speedway at Irwindale

This event is a closed to to the public Car Show with gate fees. All workers do not have to pay to enter or pay to run.
Your name will be on a list at the entrance.

Auto-X Workers can ride with any other workers. You may not get as many runs if you ride (not sure). Some Workers will be instructors.
Instructors are OK to take rides or give rides but all Auto-x people (who are not workers) need to clear the gate and pay a fee.
If you bring an extra worker/ helper who will not drive we may make an exception (they will need to work grid or staging when not riding).
Please tell me before the day of the event if you want a helper / rider not driver.

Food is available at the sight but it is kind of expensive. Think about bringing your lunch.
I would like it if we did not break for lunch so all worker get a good amount of runs.
Please understand that the folks that pay don't work and they are supposed to have fun.

Yes,
It is a smaller event and not for just Porsche.
The event is for all makes of European cars. Prizes are offered to the competitors.
SCCA working members do not need to drive European cars and will not be scored as competitors.
Lap times are 65-70 seconds run inside and on parts of the oval.

"This event will be run by the Porsche Club at Irwindale Speedway"

This event is not run by the PCA-Orange Coast Region that runs the events at El Toro. We have a Drivers Education event that day on the interior road course at Fontana.

Maybe another region. Have Fun! Steve

Got it.

I am trying to get some details from the organizers.
I will put up a list of the work run folks as soon as I get some more information. I think I have enough workers however the event may need some more people to enter.
When I get the information I will update you folks.

Thanks.

From what I gather it is open to non-P cars, but it's more of a track day on the "roval".
