You the site is big when...
LINCOLN, Neb. (Sept. 5, 2009) – The anticipation building to the 2009 Tire Rack® ProSolo Finale was dragged out just a little longer this morning in Lincoln, Neb., as the event got off to a late start, courtesy of fog at the Lincoln Airpark. Once things got rolling, class point leaders worked their way to the top of the time sheets with few surprises.

Unable to see across either course, SCCA officials were forced to delay the start of the ProSolo Finale in its debut at Lincoln Airpark. After nearly an hour of waiting, visibility returned and the Christmas tree released its first set of drivers at 10 a.m. (CDT).

I believe they've only competed in one ProSolo event this year coming into the finale.

Gio,

Thanks for the update of morning results at 22:57, when a prior post included the entire days runs (save L1) at 19:27. :computer:

Christine's reference appears to be the best, as I managed to click on STS as a car must have crossed the line, because I caught it with just one digit of a time, hit refresh, the remainder of that time, along with a second time (from the opposite track) popped up.

That's cool

There's talk about the surface already breaking up pretty bad in spots. Shooting concrete rocks 100ft towards course workers. Ouch!

Jason Thanks for sharing. Course looked rather tight, and always in transition following the straight line start zone. Interesting to see the visible wear the course had incurred in the video.

In STS, how much was it the car vs. drivers (CRX/Miata?). As a group the top three STS cars placed between the last trophy spot in ST and the first non trophy spot in ST. (i.e. top three STS were between the 4 & 5th place ST spots). That sounds pretty competitive to me base upon what our class has done historically vs the Civics.

Now you know what your up against, God Speed to yourself and Michael in the Nat Championship event. (and all our other So Cal competitors)

Yeah with any concrete thats 65 years old in the Midwest will have some breakage. All that ice and freeze stuff going on.

The surface is great as far as how smooth and flat, and how much of it there is. You could pretty much design any course you wanted. Some small rocks do get thrown up by the cars, but I haven't seen anything significant chunks. The grip is actually slightly lower than I expected, but maybe the r-compound guys have a different opinion.
