C4C List
There are some amazing cars on this list (along with the no so):
http://www.cars.gov/files/official-info ... hicles.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
1 '87 GNX (possibly 10 more '87 ASC built cars listed as Unknown[*])
1 '97 DB7 Volante
1 '86 TVR 280i
1 '92 Typhoon
1 '97 Continental R
1 '08 Scion Xd
2 '08 Foose F150's
2 '06 Roush F150's
131 Corvettes
3 La Forza's
5 Starions
24 Lighting p/u's
on the other hand no one will miss the
2,187 Luminas
34,427 Caravan, Voyager's
70,347 Mountianeer/Exploreer's
But somehow we only got rid of:
87 Aztecs
1 Geo
[Update: the other car ASC built in '87 was the Chrysler K-car executive sedan and limousines... lets hope those 10 other '87 ASC cars were all K-cars. Unfortunately I can't imagine 10 K-car limo's actually still existing out there, 22 years later]

Re: C4C List
Neither the CRX nor the Scion xD were on the approved list. There were several cars older than allowed also. My guess is a few non eligible cars slipped through, or a few errors were made in the input.

Re: C4C List
Even if there was an adequate differential, there was still like an 18mpg max mileage.

At the Military EVO school this week there was some very nice cars getting trashed. Apparently the government can buy cars from the government before the engines are locked up, knowing that the special forces soldiers would be capable of rendering them useless by the end of the week

Re: C4C List
Yeah, I saw this list on Jalopnik. Either there are some complete morons out there who didn't understand that if your car is worth more then $4500 you're losing money, or those cars were completely thrashed. I don't see how a running Bentley or Astin Martin could even get in the same zip code as $4500.Craig Naylor wrote:There are some amazing cars on this list (along with the no so):

They didn't let us play with Tanks or guns
Humvees are suprisingly agile. Slow off the line, great brakes, good steering, able to drive over 18" cones (without hitting them)
