Team, couple of Questions. What is PAX, and why is PAX BSP different than BSP?
Thanks, tried searching and didn't come up with an answer.

Re: PAX
A PAX number is an index used to make cars in different classes theoretically equal. See info here: http://www.scca-chicago.com/solo/indexes/rtp2010.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;Arthur Grant wrote:Team, couple of Questions. What is PAX, and why is PAX BSP different than BSP?

Our PAX Class is open to all cars to compete in and the PAX number is applied to times based on their regular class. So if you compete in BSP, you run only against cars SCCA has classed with you. If you run PAX BSP you could run against cars from all classes with your times multiplied by the BSP index of .865. The PAX class was generally created as a place for the top drivers who tend to dominate their regular SCCA class to compete against each other. The PAX class is not an SCCA class, but many regions have it for this reason. We also produce PAX results from events where all cars are listed by their PAX adjusted times.
