For only the second time in memory, we had to cancel and event due to rain, or more specifically flooding in our lot. But mother nature made up for it today as she provided a perfect day for autox.
I want to thank all the chiefs and volunteers who made this happen. Let's start with Eric Clements and Toby Larsson. After having Eric's course washed out by the flooding, Eric and Toby went right to work to salvage what was left of the lot to create a fast, fun course. With their leadership and others volunteering, we had the course ready to go in record time with the start of the event being delayed only about 30 minutes.
I'd to give a special shout out and thanks to my team of worker chiefs starting with our worker chief Mike Kazmierczak, timing and scoring chief Rick Brown, waiver chief Ron Tsumura, chief of tech Quoc-Viet Dang, chief of registration Joey Schilling, Bob Hempy our safety steward, and Gayle and Maggie Jardine who handled registration without a hitch. These were the folks that an event chief counts on to pull and event together and make it seem like we know what were doing. I must say this team performed as well as any I've seen. QV, I got around to thanking everyone personally except you. Please accept my apology for my oversight. You, along with the rest did an outstanding job.
I also want to thank those that stayed behind for fun runs and clean-up. We had everything picked-up and packed in record time. As a bonus for staying we treated ourselves to some fun runs and had an absolute blast before the clean-up effort.
Lastly, thank you to those that took a chance and came to the event today. I know things were a bit iffy, but I hope you feel we made it worth your time to come out. As I've said before, without you, we'd have no event.
Thanks again to all,
George Schilling

BIG thanks to all of the Chiefs and Volunteers. Fun course 2. WIsh I coulda stuck around for fun runs.
Special thanks to George for stepping up once again as Event Chief.
Great job again
Did you clean up that fast 2nd run of yours on your third? Very nice dirty time though.
I only got down to a 53.0 ish on my third.
Had to jam home quickly as I was hosting a party.
Loaded the car on the trailer in 15 minutes and set the cruise at 60.

I'd copy and paste but how do you follow up that post??
Gotta say, I didn't know what to expect today but I thought a little off roading would be part of the plan. turned out those who worked on course layout really did a bangup job of avoiding debris and putting an interesting course together despite not having essentially the rear quarter unavailable. Also have to say it was amazing how any time help was called on how many people stepped up right away to help address the issue and get us going. I was shocked we were up and running so fast!
It was a great course, options flowed well into one another and it was still a bit interesting to drive (especially that back slalom!). The long radius turns were exceptionally fun with a little angle thrown in. ;)
Thanks again to everyone who set it up! Thankfully mother nature played along today and we were able to make the most of it. Bravo!

The fun runs were awesome!
After blowing it in the championship, this turned my frown upside down.
Clean up was fast with everyone helping after. Thanks Nicole for using your truck.
Fun Runs get a thumbs up from me. Thanks again George.
