You might want to reset your forum time to PST. You probably have it set for EST. You're not in Philly yet! :P

What is the Rain Policy?

Post by Mike Wilkinson »

Serious question (from a newbie)... What happens if it rains on Saturday?

Thanks,

We run rain or shine Mike. On rare occasions where we experience severe weather incidents or flooding, cancellation is a possibility. Those times are rare. You will have to adjust your driving style to compensate for the wet but you''ll still have a blast. Be prepared with proper clothing as you will be working outside at some point during the day.

Accuweather is forecasting cloudy in the 60's. Weather Channel says 30 percent chance of rain. With 5 days to go, it's still too soon for even a remotely accurate forecast.

Bring an umbrella and rain gear ... I like to work with my comfy helmet on when it's raining.

Yes... who knows if it will actually rain. In any case I'm looking forward to some fun - wet or dry!

I don't think I'd want to stand out in the middle of a parking lot with cars whizzing by me 360 degrees and not be able to hear. I think I'd rather bring an umbrella or just get wet.

? But my head will be protected when the Prius slides out of control behind me! ;)

I can hear fine with my helmet on ... not that much sound out there when it's raining, so it's really Heads Up time ...

I have a full-face; even with the visor up, I can't hear jack. Gotta get me an open-face.

Sounds funny, but I'll honestly do when I drive down to the event. Either way I'm using ear protection (ear muffs) on the long drives since the car it's really loud inside with the short exhaust... at least now I'll have ear and head protection at the same time }:)
