I hate rain

Post by Steve Ekstrand »

Just putting that out there....

Driving in even light to moderate rain is a blast...

But rain is getting a little tiring this year....
And rain when you're trying to set up your car for the season and trying to knockdown a troublesome infection after a near death experience just sucks....

bitch and moan mode off...

I'm stressed too over the drive down Cherry...

Is it better coming from the 10 than 210?

Steve... for the most part, I think you are a raving lunatic. However, in this instance, I fully agree with you. It's very frustrating.

Will did slalom Sesnon Sunday night.... But the car isn't licensed anymore and it wears the decals 24/7. And its a teal EF. Don't they throw you in prison for that and try to protect you by telling the inmates you're a child rapist and a snitch?

Steve, I couldn't agree with you more... it's really frustrating for me too...
I drive the car to the events and it's gets more scary than for most other people towing their cars... since the car is low and doesn't like very wet weather. The hood is vented and there are even around 20 holes in the cabin's floor covered only with duct tape }:)
If it's really that bad I might need to fill these holes with foam or something :barf:

The worse part is that I never worked in rain and it seems to me like a pretty scary experience with cars spinning out of control and course workers running scared in the rain (oh wait that's similar of me driving on dry course }:) ).

Anyway I'll be there just for the experience, hopefully the car won't shut off in the freeway and I'll make it there this time...

At least coming from the 210 you're going with the flow instead of fighting it........... of course it might carry you right on by the speedway

It's time to come up on the moutain and learn to work with the weather.

This morning a dusting, less than 3 inches of snow, that melted over night and froze. But this is the crunchy stuff, brittle could be a better discription.

By tonight it will all be gone leaving just a wet road that sprays your car with sinder and road salt. You might guess why I drive old ugly cars and can be at peace with it.

Of course the 10 Cherry Exit is much closer to the Speedway, but as Rick pointed out you'll be flowing with the raging river than going up against it.

Exiting from the 210, the roads are a bit better since the area is more well developed than the exit off of the 10. Last time the CRX was almost drowned in a lake that used to be the Valley Blvd / Cherry intersection.

Thought the chance of rain this weekend was 50/50 on Saturday and only a slight chance on Sunday anyway. Hope it doesn't rain Saturday since we plan on doing some more CTV work. Finishing interior walls and more wiring. Timing will likely be setup outside under an EZ-Up.

Guess it depends on where you check. localweather.com for Fontana:

Friday Night - Partly cloudy with a slight chance of rain. Lows 42 to 47. Light winds. Chance of measurable precipitation 20 percent.
Saturday - Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain. Highs 52 to 58. Light winds. Chance of measurable precipitation 50 percent.
Saturday Night - Rain likely. Lows 41 to 46.
Sunday - Showers likely and slight chance of thunderstorms. Highs 53 to 61.

Yeah, we might start charging people to work in the motorhome on rainy (or very hot) days.

Max, that's pretty funny! I was telling Nicole that we should not listen to what accuweather.com or weather.com says and that the person we should be listening too, is in a tight dress with large boobs.

Went both ways last time, Cherry off of the 210 was better then coming off
of the 10. Cherry south was flooded 4 a much longer stretch.
