El toro Pro Solo

Post by Arthur Grant »

New to Pro Solo, pretty new to autocross. Running the Pro Solo for the experience. Have signed up for the practice on the 27th, plan to run the race on the 28th at El Toro in anticipation, (plus it's close to home). Am signed up for the Evo Hole Shot course. What I am interested in knowing is if there are eliminations as a result or Saturday's runs. As noted I am a novice, my 1990 Corvette will be running street Khumo ESTCA's, and I am pretty stock in BSP. I don't really expect to beat anyone save perhaps another novice, I this is intended as a learning experience. Does everyone carry over from Saturday to Sunday or can I reasonably expect this to be a one day shot? The event schedule doesn't really shed any light on this.

Thanks

You get 3 separate opportunities to get your best time, twice on Saturday and once on Sunday morning. Your best left side run and your best right side run combine to provide your total time and your place in class. If you win your class you move on to the Challenge which is an elimination competition for the overall winner. There is also a drawing you can enter to be in another Challenge for the non-winners (does that sound better than losers?). Members of the local region are expected to stay to work the Challenge competitions.

And perhaps if you have not already done so, read this on the main page:
