Check Those Brake Rotors!

Post by Mako Koiwai »

Since most of us AX older or used cars ... make sure you check your brake rotor thickness. I discovered the Vette's front rotors were at the bare minimum ... where Chevy recommends replacing them. I've felt that the brakes were going off ... perhaps this is the reason? Those used up skinny rotors are lighter! Also discovered a crack in one of them.

btw. I bought new "premium" Centric replacement rotors ... through Jeff Wong/ProParts. He offered a CSCC Special pricing. I picked them up at Will Call at the Centric place in City of Industry to save on shipping.

Centric rotors seem to be well made, and are modestly priced. I have them on the S2000, and did not find any other options that were less expensive. I did not realize that they have a warehouse in L.A. That's handy!

Centric does not sell to the public, the parts would have to be purchased through us and then setup for will call.
