Need a ride to the Wendover Pro
I'm leaving my rig up there after the Tour and flying home. I'd love to get a ride back up the Friday before the Pro - will split driving and gas money. Anyone have room?

Re: Need a ride to the Wendover Pro
Thanks, Toby, but I'm already flying back & flying to/from D.C. for the Pro there, so I'm trying to save $$$. And besides, I don't need to be there for practice starts as I'll know the surface from running the Tour.Toby Larsson wrote:Mike and Aaron are flying in to SLC on Friday morning, don't know how much a ticket is this late tough.

Bill, Eric is leaving on Thursday with the trailer and my car. If we fold you over a few times and pack you under the hood, he probably won't notice you've stowed away.
And we both know that under-hood location makes for a great temporary home. I'll put some seeds and berries in there for ya.

I'm driving up EARLY Friday morning if you want to ride up with me. Plenty of space in a Hyundai Genesis Sedan. Even with four Miata wheels in the trunk.

Re: Need a ride to the Wendover Pro
I just made the decision 90 minutes or so ago to once again subject myself to the pain and torture of being trophy fodder for most of ST. Not sure why.
Shaun seems like a better ride option for you coming from the OC in a nice luxo-sedan. But you're welcome to ride up with me too... If you can stand the excessive whining about my poor driving the last two events and about all things Obama.
I haven't decided yet if I'm leaving at 11pm from Pasadena on Thursday and sleeping in the Primm parking lot or getting up before O'Dark-Thirty and driving straight there Friday morning. I have to teach a Thursday night MBA class.
I'll probably going to just do early morning, my concern is that I'm pretty pumped up after teaching for 4 hours and usually have a tough time coming home and going to sleep. So, maybe getting in the truck and driving the first 220 miles makes sense. Don't know.... Not enough calories in my diet for complete brain function... I can't decide.

Re: Need a ride to the Wendover Pro
Primm is nice for that. I think its Primm Valley Resort I normally park at? South side of the freeway across the street from the rollar coaster place. Plenty of room, in there back lot for RV's and they are welcome. Chevron there and a McD's for a morning fill up. No soy latte's for Bill though....
Good chance I'll hit that on the way home rather than deal with Sunday night return traffic. Still able to get home Monday morning with an early start.

Hey Bill,
You're welcome to ride if you'd like. I was leaving Thursday night, but with two drivers, Friday works. I'm in Canyon Country, so I do the Bishop/Tonopah route.
The Genesis ride sounds like the no brainer, but if that doesn't pan out let me know. I'm either doing the 89 Civic or an E36 M3.
P.S. I will be hard to get a hold of Wednesday night, as I'll be at the Laker game from like 4:00p on.
Let me know.
