I hate the post office - rant

So I need to return a small part to Rock Auto, fits in a small Priority Box. I have this $4.60 stamp on a Priority Envelope that I never used. "Helper Lady" that walks up/down the line said I could peel/cut it off & reuse it but she has no glue. I go home trim it off & glue it to the box.

New postage is an additional $1. for tracking etc.

So I go in line (second trip to PO after going home to get glue & scissors) & up to the counter. The counter lady put's om magnifing glasses & says the stamp has been USED.

Well no, not USED, I stuck it on an envelope that never got sent, so I got no value from it. I tell her what the "helper lady" said & it's too bad, pay the full postage again.

I've been wanting to use that stupid stamp up for about a year & thought I had it figured out today. Not so fast.

It's been a while since anyone has "gone postal", but I waited until I got in my car and closed the door, before I let out a string, *&^%$@@##%%**+(

I'd have made her find the "helper lady" and made them resolve this issue right there and on the record. Postage doesn't expire unless it's used; what's her proof if it wasn't postmarked?
