What's this on topic--off topic stuff. I just click the new post header and don't care where it started or got moved to or ----. Every thread drifts and always has. The topics on the index page are there just to make some people feel important and powerfull---- :) }:) :)

The post to give people info gave people WRONG info?. Where the frich would you want to me to point that out???

Then you move it to OT??? Major bonehead action. Then you spell my name wrong in the Subject heading where it shouldn't be anyway????

Get your Starbucks before you start moderating.

well if some people had some respect for the time others spend (or are able to spend)on the forums, the forums would be significantly more user friendly and useful. Personally I sit on here and read damn near everything so i could care less about all the OT crap (and even do my fair share of driving topics into the ground), but there are a large number of people who actually have real stuff to do and don't want to have to sift through 800 posts in thread titled "important changes to NOTLD" only to find that 3 of those posts are about anything related to NOTLD and 797 of them are about shoes and breakfast and Gio and Steve arguing.

If you keep up with the forums every 15 mins it's no trouble to read a couple posts in what ever thread. If you log into these forums even once a day you're inundated with 50 thousand new posts and you're unable to tell the difference between anything that is important (like changing a date on our calandar) and stuff that is completly useless (like what Ashley likes for breakfast) because the thread titles have no bearing on what they're actually talking about. In the end we'll probably just prevent Steve/Curt/Ashley/George/Bob/Gio from posting anywhere except off topic and our jobs will be done. ;)

Events or solo talk should have been fine. Can't blame Aaron though...moving Eckstrand posts to the OT forums is becoming a forcive habit. hahahah

You know Don, i went to the work of putting together this new forum so that I could have a choice on if I wanted to read about cupcakes and skittles. I do use the topics so I don't have to read that crap unless I'm bored on the weekend.

P.S. Yeah, i'm drifting this thread but, i don't care what happens in off topic. It's like George's libertarian utopia.

You guys promise to keep off topic in the off topic area and on topic in the on topic areas and we promise to quit changing the threads names by splitting them into two.

man, we would need more moderators if we had thousands of active members. Just think of how many Ekstrand like people there are lurking out there ;)

nah, Steve is small beans. Ashley is the dangerous OT ring leader. she commands a whole gang of OT hoodlums.

I should be careful what I say 'round these parts though. no telling what could happen out in the in the mod-less OT forum. Admins are the only one with any real power in these parts.

this started SPECIFICALLY (not mad at Reverend Curt) but when he post about hosting NOTLD @ the parking lot of Rhino's (the strip club), part of me laughed, the other part felt like, "uh-oh, I sense the thread is starting to drift" so I immediately posted that the info on this thread is in the committee forum not to hide but just to avoid all the noise traffic. And sure enough it drifted. Then Steve got on me, and I had to answer. I'm guilty of that. Should've just not posted at all. Aaron I appreciate your efforts and the moderators (Marshall & Christine). So if you have to split it out, great. If a post starts to drift then by all means lock the thread and shut it down.

i thought it was funny too. I just threw out you guys arguing as one of the larger side conversations contained in the "IMPORTANT NOTLD CHANGES" thread. Not anyone's fault. I just don't want to go all republican and start deleting every post I think is OT. If someone has something funny to say to throw something OT, say it and start a new thread in the OT section. Just don't make me start the new thread everytime. I really have a hard time coming up with my funny new thread titles.

man we totally need an OT mod. someone to delete posts that are on topic. or merge a bunch of random thread together to really confuse the crap out of everyone. I'm all for it.
