FS: one pre-bent AP1 S2000 for parts

Post by Steve Lepper »

Posting this for a friend.

2002 Honda S2000. 75K miles, all stock, was a daily driver and not raced. Car got tagged at both ends so the insurance company is totalling it: damage consists of all front panels, rear bumper, and dents in rear quarters.

The good news is the complete powertrain is undamaged. All four wheels are still pointing in the right directions, so it rolls easily and could be driven onto a trailer.
Interior is the grey color and complete: the airbags did not deploy in the crash. Both doors appear to be undamaged from the accident. Will come with a salvage title, but I wouldn't expect it to be anything other than a donor car: if I had the shop space, I'd grab it and start looking for a Seven replica or Miata that needs an engine.

Asking $3950 OBO for it, and would like it gone quickly as he's in need of a new daily driver. Any interest or questions, let me know and I can get you in touch with the owner.

The mind reels...I just saw a presentable early Ford Cortina at bringatrailer.com (no Lotus power but the cool dark green stripe on white paint) that would be perfect with an S2000 powertrain...

If it's still available, and he's thinking of parting it out, and he doesn't skip shift, I'd be interested in the gearbox.
