Karen & Mako's Further Flat Bedding Adventures
We were on our way over the Rogers Pass here in BC Canada to visit Karen's brother and sister when the Suby ended up on a flat bed again.

Re: Karen & Mako's Further Flat Bedding Adventures
Hmmm....
I'm guessing not a mechanical issue...
The look of those tracks in the wet... is that a bit of snow on the ground?
Did you end up off the road like the other car in the ditch?

Re: Karen & Mako's Further Flat Bedding Adventures
No snow ... we were carefully monitoring the exterior temperature as we came down from the mountain, and it was in the mid '50's

It's called "corn snow". Very slippery stuff.

P3 ... I'm photographing the car in front of us, trying out some high iso settings in the gathering gloom. Karen has just moved into the passing lane. We never noticed the scene on the left of the photo.

Re: Karen & Mako's Further Flat Bedding Adventures
Not fair, you added "P2" after my snow guess.
so... the Mounty shot out your tire when you attempted to leave the seen thinking you caused it?
I guessed Snow, someone else guessed Hail (with your added "P2", the only white stuff left would be freezing rain, but the first evidence of that would be in the trees and other plant material, and there's no evidence of that.
on a side note - 50 degrees out side? That in and of it's self does not mean it's not snow. One it dosen't need to be freezing at ground level, just in the clouds, two it could be melting at this point from a colder overnight dusting.
Beyond the frozen moisture on the ground, vs. just wet surface, that were evidently not guessing the correct "name" of.... and you did not respond to my comment about an accident vs. mechanical....
Obviously were not guessing the cause of your tow it from what you've provided in the way of photos.

Re: Karen & Mako's Further Flat Bedding Adventures
Judging by the first pic, they probably backed it into the ditch (no upper front end damage) or ended up busting the oil pan on a rock when they slid off the road. The story was taking too long, so I lost intrest a long time ago...Greg Peng wrote:The Subaru! What happened to the Subaru?! :mrt: :unimpressed:
