From what I read from the 2010 Helmet Certification Bulletin,
M95 will not be eligible for use in SCCA Solo after 12/31/2010.

But then again, I'm not on any boards and don't the inside scoop.

Speaking of helmets - are there any deals out there for 2010-dated helmets?

they look just like the Bell helmets to me...

Yeah, first link in this post viewtopic.php?f=22&t=160
I tried my Pyrotect Helmets on at their store.
They were receptive to price negotiation since I brought cash.

I really like my Pyrotech full face. Mako thought you guys were going track racing, your not going out on a track with an open face or M rated helmet are you?

Need something that's airy ... I get claustrophobic very easily

Mako, I used to have that problem too, especially back before the Lasik surgery...
At the time, the Simpson Voyager was always the best solution for me.

Not as cheap as the Pyrotects, but worth it to be comfortable. Plus the Pyrotects always fit me a little funny...

Snell 2000 helmets should be fine for another 5 years.

Mako, you can also try on pyrotect helmets @ extreme supply in Signal Hill. Really nice people (went there to pick up those $20 bell helmets a couple years back). I'm thinking of visiting them soon - they have an orange-y carbon fiber helmet on closeout!
