Course Setup Help Needed, Friday 12/10

Post by Christine Grice »

I'm looking for some help with setting up course on Friday. For 3 people, it will count as your work assignment for the practice. We are looking to meet at the speedway sometime between 12 and 1.

Thanks!

I'd suggest closer to 12 than 1. At course setup for the thanksgiving weekend we had a wee problem with the CTV and ended up chalking the course in the dark. Good thing we got it done because a big wind on thanksgiving day blew the course down and it had to be reset Friday morning. Almost worse than starting from scratch because we had to fetch the cones and bring them back their spot. Resetting grid was ugly as the cones were a third of the way across the lot.

There are jumper cables in the CTV, just have to know where they are (the small compartment to the rear of the door).

Well, there are now two sets of jumpers because I went out to autozone in timbuctoo and bought a set. Lo and behold, when I got back to lot 12, there was the CTV. Mike had apparently found the older set. Stuff happens.

I've been emailing back and forth with the FSAE peeps, and their ringleader, Ivan, said he'd be willing to send some help out if you email him details. His address is itroitsky at csupomona dot edu.

Max got me! how embarrassing!
That's what happens when you cycle through 3 trains of thought on what to write and click send before checking everything!

I'll be getting my eyes checked at Dr. Flores practice around 10-11, so I'm in the area and available.

I'll take all the help I can get. I learned to set up course before we started to setup on Friday afternoons, so I hope it goes pretty quickly.
