2004 RX8 set up for STX

Post by KJ Christopher »

Quickest RX8 in STX at nationals - 5th overall out of 54 entries.

Quick run down: (See SportsCar article - same parts/different car http://tinyurl.com/stxrx8)
Sparco seat
Custom tune - Cobb AccessPort
Header
Pulleys
Small battery - Braille, iirc.
RB intake
Mid pipe with cat and light resonator
JIC Titanium muffler. Light as my B stock exhaust, but tons quieter. No problems with sound.
Racing Brake BBK
Motons
Lightweight wheels (I have two sets, we can discuss what goes with the car)
Hankooks with a year's worth of life left.
OS Giken diff
Wing - although the BOD hasn't spoken yet, so you never know. I was going to run without it in 2011 anyway. I think it will be better balanced and quicker.

$15,000 obo

I'd like to go CM, or so I've convinced myself without having even driven one. :D

edited to add the OS Giken diff and reason why I'm selling.

Crikey, knowing what it has taken to build my Miata to a similar level, that sounds like a bargain. Good luck with the sale.

Good luck with sale KJ. Having received some severe beating from this car, this is the car to have in STX  What is CM and what car are you getting?

Make sure you get a man-sized CM chassis.

Cool! Not that you are selling the RX-8, but that you are going to CM. Need help schlepping it around the country? ;)

I want to get a real race car, but I don't want to do a whole bunch of fab and make one. CM seems like a great way to do that.

C Modified: Learn to autocross, roadracer! Spend 60% of the initial price of your car modifying the handling to get rid of push. Then you can go slightly slower than an F125.

Good Luck with the Sale KJ.
