Gate Monitor Procedures

Post by Karen Zaterman »

If you do your work assignment at Gate please read the laminated sheet of guidelines before you start working.
...even if you have done Gate countless times!

There are new procedures involving Minor Waivers -- ie there are now 2 that need to be filled out. One for SCCA as before and one for Auto Club Speedway which is double sided! And if both sides are not filled out they throw it back in our faces

The guidelines may also clarify one or two things you didn't know, so please read it.
Thank you!
No, Mako -- you do NOT need to supercharge your new Miata! ...cuz now it's my turn to take it to the track :)
hmmmm... it is no longer "new" -- is it time to get faster?

I saw that today in the gate box and wondered where it came from. Good idea.

Will gate have a radio? It's been a while since I've done it up here.

Gate can look out for ppl wandering over from the kart track (i.e. just hopped the rail) & can radio it in instead of chasing after that person & leaving gate unattended.

I think there are good reasons to use the FRS radios on event days, with safety, event chief and anyone else who needs to communicate with the primary event officials.

We have tons of radios now. Safety, the event master and gate should have one.
