Wanted - Carb-legal intake for '02 Mazda Protege 5

Post by Robert Puertas »

Hey gang,
A friend of mine, and ex-autocrosser, Steve Holmes just bought a used Protege 5 for his son's first car.
It has a CAI without a Carb sticker. He needs to get it past CA smog.
Anybody have a legal intake laying around for one of these things?
Thanks!

If it's a CARB legal intake, but just lacks the sticker, you can usually request one from the manufacturer of the intake.

The cheapest route is usually finding a used stock intake. Craigslist or Mazda message boards would be best for that I suppose.
