Safety Steward EMERGENCY!

Post by Steve Towers »

We need a Safety Steward for Saturday. Tom T. signed up with the caveat that he might get called to work. Happened. Sorry about the short notice, but we REALLY need someone to step up.

Yeah, I'll do it (again). Tom should be there Sunday though.

What happened to the rest of you folks that went to the last SSS training session? I know there were more people in that room than have volunteered for SSS duty.

That's what happens when you get all new people and flush the old ones.

Some of us need signatures to convert into SSS.

Can you assign some of those ppl (the ones who aren't full SSS yet) as deputy or whatnot so they can help out during their normal work session so you can have a break?

That being said, I can help cover SSS duty on Saturday after the kid karts run...

It's not that hard to get signatures man... I had to get mine twice because USPS or SCCA lost my original app & I didn't photocopy it! Make sure you photocopy your application before sending it in.

OK, maybe not hard, but somewhat difficult... I was told the guy I shadowed comes around once a year for the GRA event. I didn't get his signature on the weekend I shadowed.

Shadow me on Sunday, I'll sign.

Thanks everyone for the understanding on this.... although my work is unpredictable, this Tucson thing was a real exception. I got sucked into the vortex. As always, really strange being this close to such a story.

Hey Tom, any chance your van could accidentally get too close to the Westboro folks?

If you are desperate:

SSS school in Tucson AZ, with SCCA solo at Marana Airport the next day. Marana is a pretty good surface, kinda small but workable. Run in the PM sessions for best grip.

Notice that 47 sec run had a loop. The whole pad (Including paddock) is about 1/2 CA speedway, but without poles.
