WTB/WT Borrow A/C Manifold Gauge, vacuum pump

Post by Daniel Y. »

Found my A/C leak! Now I just need to vacuum it and recharge. Anyone have a set I can borrow? I've been spending too much at Harbor Freight as it is :(

Have you tried calling your local Kragen/Autozone/Pep boys to see if they have free tool rental for those?

Yep... Seems as though they don't rent/loan them out any more. I'm guessing it's a new EPA thing. I think I'm going to bite the bullet and just buy the H-F stuff. It's still cheaper than taking the car somewhere to get it evac'd and filled.

So in the near future, I'll change the name of this thread to "A/C Manifold Gauge, vacuum pump for rent, $10/day".
