I thought you were saving your pennies for an S2K after driving (however briefly) Annie's car?
Unless you're going to hide it away for the day the NB's get reclassed.. }:)

I have come to realize that the S2000 CR is completely out of my price range. This would make a nice commuter/play car once you man it up a bit! I'm thinking NB version of my old NA.Steve Lepper wrote:I thought you were saving your pennies for an S2K after driving (however briefly) Annie's car?

Wow, what a deal! A 2001 makes a great daily driver, with the stiffer chassis, projector headlights, comfy seats, and - dare I say it - more functional cup holder...

It really is a great car. I just need a bigger car now. And RWD is the best to race!!!

I am. If it wasn't for the fact that something in my head says that it is pure madness for me to own three cars, I would be all over this. Seems like the perfect NB year for a fun and reliable daily driver.Kurt Ra wrote:Uh oh...Max is smitten.Max Hayter wrote:5 speed or 6 speed?

Pure madness? No, think of what we do with or cars each weekend. Stand out in the hot sun to drive for 3 minutes? That's crazy! Heck, having a truck, race car, and commuter car is pure sanity in comparison ;)

Re: 2001 Miata Sport Pkg
Just think, Max, for the price of the shocks alone on your STR car, you could own Steve's NB!
I'm tempted too. It wouldn't be the first Miata I've bought from Steve!!!

You are losing it Max. The appropriate action would be to cover your eyes unless you are using software that reads the forum for you.Max Hayter wrote:*sticks fingers in ears*

You got it wrong, Max. The amount of $$$ you'll save from not having to drive the FJ all the time will pay for itself in no time!Max Hayter wrote:I am. I don't know about that... $6700 buys a LOT of gas!

Right, because the Miata uses no gas. It also never needs maintenance, replacement tires, registration, insurance, and whatever tuner parts he would undoubtedly buy for it. Max needs a woman more than a third car - not that it would be cheaper, but it might straiten him out.Quoc-Viet Dang wrote:

I hear Max was also in the market for a white VW Cabriolet.. paying extra if it already comes with cow-print seat covers. }:)Jason Isley BS RX8 wrote:it might straiten him out.And owning two MX-5s would not help his chances with women.

Actually, I am seeing a girl. I even sent her a picture of Steve's Miata saying I was thinking about it. She seemed unimpressed

Has she seen a picture of you? Once you take the relationship offline the Miata won't be the only thing she is unimpressed with. }:)Max Hayter wrote:Actually, I am seeing a girl. I even sent her a picture of Steve's Miata saying I was thinking about it. She seemed unimpressed

Steve
If you consider what we spend in this sport on a $-per-mile basis, we're all completely nuts.
C'mon Max... just buy it. From a daily-driver standpoint, the 01-03's are the all-around best Miata's out there.
