Thank you SCNAX and Team Blew

Post by Lisa Severy »

I had a great time this weekend. Sebastian's course was challenging and fun. Never quite got everything right, but appreciated the discipline required and enjoyed the "rewards" for the sections I did manage to "nail". Although the slalom might not have been "Civic straight", it was perfect for my Corvette and I was able to get a great rhythm. Ryan had two of his friends come out to try Solo for the first time and I know they enjoyed it as well.

I thought the event was well-managed. Both days everything went very smoothly (until whatever that glitch was w/Diane's car being invisible to the start lights).

And thank you to the Cal Poly Formula Motorsports Team for the improved burgers and for the "Rent-a-Worker" program. Great idea and I hope to see that service offered up again. (I'm in!)

^ You're very welcome Lisa, glad you enjoyed the event!

AND, I absolutely like/love that idea of the "Rent-A-Worker"; hope we can have that every event if possible!

$10 and some poor college student works your shift! It's kind of like slave labor, but better :king:

Glad you enjoyed it, Lisa.

Thanks to Seb for spending all day Friday making sure we have an awesome course, all my chiefs: Jon Hartendorp, Michael Bradley, Art Rinner, Tim Aing, Rick Brown, QV , Stephen Yeoh for doing an excellent job executing their positions. And Eric Clements, for jumping on board at the last minute to help fill the SSS spot. Also, Mark DeShon, Ed Holley for helping with course setup Friday, Jack Tsou, Web Jessup, and Terrance Chang for helping out on Sunday. You guys did a great job making my first attempt at Event Chair go as smooth as it did.

I agree wholeheartedly with what others have already said. Sharon and I really enjoyed Saturday's Practice. Particularly when the the "little box-stock Miata" slipped into the 59s. OMG!! Party on dudes! I can't tell you how much excitement THAT created for the rest of the weekend. Unfortunately, Saturday's successes did not carry over to Sunday. Running at the end of the day sucked but, apparently, it was our (SK2) turn.

Anyway, it was a blast! Thank you all for the great organization of the event and, especially, to Seb for giving us a course that looked innocent enough...but surely WAS NOT. Skills got challenged and enhanced THIS weekend, for sure.
