There are no plans to change the .98 modifier of stock class index.

Here's Aaron's google doc that shows how the indices have changed over the years: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... _US#gid=24" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
And the last tab of the doc has the raw data: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... n_US#gid=1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Keep in mind that in the SK classes, and extra .98 multiplier is added on to the Stock class multipliers.
So, the numbers for SK1 look like this:
-------2011--------2012
SS 0.83986 -> 0.84084
AS 0.82418 -> 0.82712
BS 0.82222 -> 0.82614
FS 0.81046 -> 0.80850
Edit: or maybe you already knew all of that and there was talk of the .98 multiplier getting changed that I didn't know about?

That's exactly what I was looking for. Looks like SS got a break. I usually never stay around long enough in one class to know what's going on.Jeff Stuart wrote: So, the numbers for SK1 look like this:

Thanks guys.

Keep in mind the .98 modifier has no effect on SK class competition since it is applied to everyone in the class. The only place it really means anything is in the PAX results (which are also used to determine team points) where it compensates you for being on street tires.Jeff Stuart wrote:Here's Aaron's google doc that shows how the indices have changed over the years: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... _US#gid=24" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You forgot FS, Jeff. I added to your table. Looks like I need to find an SK1-FS ride for 2012.Jeff Stuart wrote:Here's Aaron's google doc that shows how the indices have changed over the years: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... _US#gid=24" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Yeah, the numbers that are in my original post (I added FS) will be the numbers that appear on the results sheets after each event next year.Steve Abbott wrote:So is the list that Jeff S. posted right for competition. Day of the race.

Looks like it didn't get a break, the index is harder.Steve Abbott wrote:That's exactly what I was looking for. Looks like SS got a break. I usually never stay around long enough in one class to know what's going on.Jeff Stuart wrote: So, the numbers for SK1 look like this:

Next year might be different.
Thanks guys.

SS 0.83986 -> 0.84084 +0.00098
AS 0.82418 -> 0.82712 +0.00294
BS 0.82222 -> 0.82614 +0.00392
FS 0.81046 -> 0.80850 -0.00196
Relative to AS and BS, it didn't increase by as much, which is why it's a break ;)

Handy analysis sheet. (Not sure if this has the STF change.)
