12 events 3 drops for 2008

Post by Bob Pl »

So is that right? Just being sure I did not mis read the rules, planning out the end game between SDR & CSCC.

Do you automatically get your average for the missed events or zero?

You only get an average after you've requested it and the reason for missing the local event was for attending an official SCCA National event (racing such as Tour, Pro or Nationals or non-racing such as convention, etc...) that conflicts on that day or weekend. If not then, you get 0.

Ah, but could I get my average if my Car owner was at a SCCA National event precluding me from driving?

I'll let the "lawyers" answer that, as that sounds like a loop-hole but my guess would be: no

You need to run 9/12 or 10/13 to keep your points for year end. An ave will count as a run.
LA may have 13 events so keep your eyes on the ball.
You can drop your "0" (but only three of them if we have 12 events).

What are the LA vs. SD conflicts? The last time I checked we had none.

5/25 was a conflict SDAD Champ at the Stadium & CSCC CASOC champ. I missed 6/15 (No Bucks) due to my daughters college graduation. I count 12 including the Div (2 days). I believe 12 is correct, but that's why I posted the question. I may have to miss one more. Is 12 CORRECT?

oops ----> LA may have 13 events so keep your eyes on the ball. (10/13)
Some folks are talking about 2 events in November.
Yes 5/25 was a conflict and I did not make the SD event because of it.

Good eye Doug. Yes it will be voted on at the next meeting whether it stays as/is (SCNAX Cup 2 days, Ladies School 1 day) or a club takes it as practice/champ event (Fri/Sun), with Ladies school moved up from Sun to Sat.

OK, got it, a 13th champ may be created on 11/30.

Thanks.

There isn't going to be any SCNAX Cup.

So... let me see if I can get this straight... there is no SCNAX cup, but there IS the possibility that Thanksgiving weekend will have a championship event?

I'm sure it will decided by the end of the November meeting.

I know there WON'T be Bob, but I'm just keeping it as it is on the calendar until it officially gets voted on in Sept.

Leave the dates up as a practice. But the reference to SCNAX CUP really should be deleted.
That part we know is wrong.

Jesus Christ! Must you always stir the f-ing pot???? Did we not say we'd have this voted on in September??? Jayson Woodruff corrected me in that it wasn't "officially" voted on so thus I put the calendar back to as it was. Yes we KNOW there won't be a SCNAX Cup but until it's decided, I'm not going to makeup some event on the calendar just to change it. It will be decided on at the next meeting which everyone will know about since everyone who's going to Nationals will be back to find out and make plans.

That seems to be the direction it's heading Ash. The final decision will be made at the September meeting at the end of this month. Stay tuned.......

Thanks for making me laugh Christine. He knows it'll be decided on in Sept. Just my Latin temper.
As your club rep George just posted, it'll be officially decided this month.

Who's quoting the calendar?! I'm quoting your post, which says "SCNAX Cup 2 days,..." If you know there won't be one, why would you say that?   Without the Cup, it's a 2-day practice and a ladies school. If you know there's no Cup, then that's what the Calendar should say. The Cup has always been an add-on to a two-day practice. Your "Latin temper" excuse is lame.

I'm just leaving the calendar as is. As for my excuse, make that my reason. If it's lame to you, then that's not my problem.
