RV driver needed this weekend!

Post by Mike Simanyi »

We are looking for a volunteer to drive the motorhome and trailer from El Toro to AAA Speedway this weekend. Jon Hartendorp will provide shuttle service, so there isn't any problem with the logistics.

Whoever tackles the task will receive $35 Solo$ for the effort, and our great thanks for helping make the SCNAX event next weekend work smoothly.

A few of us will be sorting / discarding old cones this weekend before it can go, plus we'll make sure it's fully topped off with fuel and the tires are all in good shape and fully aired up. Sunday morning is the best bet for when it will be available for the move.

Hopefully you mean AFTER this weekend?

Indycars are at AAA this weekend and the speedway probably doesn't want an extra vehicle on site.
Or maybe Indycar isn't as big as NASCAR and its OK...

^Eric: Good point. So does that mean the motorhome can't be driven up to Cal Speedway on Saturday or Sunday then???

If that's the case, then it's gonna have to be done next week before Friday....eek!

FWIW, the Indy race is being held on Saturday evening. I doubt any of the teams equipment will be left there by Sunday afternoon.

If that's the schedule, I agree. It's actually unbelievable how fast the team 18-wheelers get out and on the road up the 15 heading out of California. Definitely within an hour after the race...even at night. So, Sunday may still be good, particularly in the afternoon.

Ed, just wanted to confirm: Will you and your wife be driving the motorhome up to Cal speedway this Sunday?

I remember seeing your post on this topic thread that you were going to but just want to make sure, thanks!
