Hopeless first heat drives in the rain, gravel and mud... Then on day two get the further pain of watching it dry up for second drivers.
Last night on the way to pick up Stacey I hit an enormous Buck in the rain. I braked and swerved enough to clip the hindquarters with the corner of the truck instead of a direct frontal blow. Truck is drivable, though I need to rig up a passenger headlight for the drive home. Came really close to losing control of the truck and decided avoiding wasn't an option. Amazing how many thoughts I processed in the second of oh Fredrico this is going to hurt.... Sad for my poor 3 month old truck. But I'm pretty upset over killing such a magnificent animal.

Went to Club Orleans last night with a big group of locals whose names will be changed to protect the guilty. Fun times with our friends. But damn, where were all the cutie Kansas Folk Dancers. A few of the ugliest women I have ever seen.
Wake up at 4am or so to 60 mph winds trying to blow the trailer apart. Things flying all over the place, trash everywhere, peoples tents becoming kites.... A small girl and her dog....
Uh, still somehow having a GREAT time???? Today is the test n tune. Have a great time on the September Championship. And good luck to my buddy KJ stepping up for our region to lead the event.
