I never did this for Solo2, or any other kind of racing.
Someone please explain.

Re: How do you Share a car?
Mention it in tech, they'll give you two stickers.
There's a two driver lane that gets send out approx twice as fast. You and your co-drive can choose amoungst yourself what order you want to do, just make sure to have the proper # on the car per driver (I like to do 2/2/2/2). Note at a national event you MUST trade of drivers per run.
Be aware the two driver lane can move pretty fast, don't drag.

Re: How do you Share a car?
Not sure what you are trying to accomplish. Other post talked about two cars. Do you want to each drive both cars? Do you care about classes? You can each drive your own car in class then each take X-runs in the other car. X-runs (only taken after a first set of runs) do not require additional working. If classes are not important, your first set of runs can be Time Only, which you can chose which group you run in (same goes for x-runs). Note that there are a limited number of X and TO runs allowed per group, first come, first serve.

Thanks!
I'm stupid.
My Perfect Scenario is bring both cars, and both of us to run each car. It's a guy-thingy. Compare times. FWD vs RWD.
I'm now thinking that is not workable if he has to be home by 2pm.
So perhaps we bring 1 car and share it?

Re: How do you Share a car?
It's possible. You could each take Time Only and X-runs in one of the morning groups (taking your x-runs in each other's car) and work the other group (since a 2nd work assignment is not required). Would not only have to run in the two driver line, but maybe even go out more often so as not to hold up the event. Or take morning time only runs and work, then take x-runs in the group right after lunch and be able to leave right away since no more work is required. Also note that passengers are allowed for Time Only and X-runs.

The biggest thing to making something like this work is coordinating with the event master and grid person. We want you to have as much fun as you want, just do it in a way as to not have a negative impact on the event operation.

Re: How do you Share a car?
Thanks All!
Well, I kind of botched that.
We didn't hold up the show, but registered the car wrong.
I did not understand enough about Time Only and X runs so I was leery about that. I hadn't done either in the past.
That is what I SHOULD have done. Run Time Only. I just did not know how that affects work assignments and run group #'s.
We could not have brought both cars and pulled it off without delaying the event. Glad I didn't go that route.
Regardless, we had a blast. Always a good time.
