Re: 2010 Wendover Pro Solo

We're in the odd (for us) situation of having at least one of us--possibly two of us--flying in for the Pro. I'll be coming from Austin, TX, and can arrive anytime between 11 in the morning and 11 at night (haven't booked the flight yet, but it looks like those are my options). I'll drive back with ...

Practice Canceled: Flash Flooding in Fontana

Eric is at the Speedway now, and he says the lake is deeper than we've ever seen it (something about water up three light poles).

The weather channel said that between 6:30 and 9:30 a.m., Fontana may receive as much as 3/4 to 1 inch of rain PER HOUR.

Walk for Hope Breast Cancer Fundraiser

Hi all-- This Sunday, Jonathan will not be running with Formula Junior in the morning, and it's not just because he now has that long-awaited driver's license. Jon and I will both be walking for hope at the City of Hope breast cancer walk. If you are interested, you can read more about this terrible...

I wasn't anticipating posting this until AFTER this year's Nationals, but... As some of you probably already know, Eric and I will be chairing Nationals in 2010. This year, we are serving as Assistant Chairs. There is no unimportant job at an autox (ever had anyone discover something unsafe with you...

Thanks for the suggestions. My friend ended up working 21 hour days, so we weren't able to get together.

Matthew said yes to Berkeley today (both their Computer Science and Electrical Engineering departments were named #1 in the country for 2010, woo hoo).

Anaheim Suggestions?

Hey Orange County folks--

Got any suggestions for places for dinner in or near Anaheim? I've got a friend from Elementary School who is in Anaheim on business. Any ideas? (Bonus points if we don't need to raid Matt's college fund to go there...)

The radios are there. I'm not sure that the chargers are, though. If they are, you will almost certainly want to plug them in first thing (I don't think they hold a charge all that well...). If the chargers aren't there, perhaps someone can get them?

Re: Calling all UC Berkeley Fans

Whew. Matthew probably won't be sitting in the study playing computer games next fall. He will be either at Carnegie Mellon or UCBerkeley, in all likelihood. He heard from both of them today, and will probably relinquish his spot at CalPolySLO and Kettering tomorrow. He is also waitlisted at Caltech.
