just want to make sure it is not always 40 runs. it is between 20-40 runs in the past. sometimes SV had a big turn out, sometimes not so much.

couple of times, I drove 1 car in the morning. another in the afternoon. so 10-20 runs per car.

Cal Speedway has always charged a gate fee of $10 for any event that uses the track. That fee is completely independent of whatever the event organizers charge although sometimes the event organizers (NASCAR, ChampCar, GrandAm, etc.) cover the fee in their ticket/entry prices.

I'll be there running the Roval and instructing with Speedventures on Sunday 11/23. Won't need first gear either. Last late fall event at the oval saw my 350Z hitting 150mph exiting turn 2.

I guess if that includes the inside lot. We aren't using the track (at least not the autox guys). And they want $10/person, not a car, which makes it even worse. Again, up til yesterday after email discussion with them, the gate fee wasn't even listed on the web site for the autox.

Now that it is listed on there, at least it's not as big of an issue & people are aware before paying for the event. It's not much, but it's the principle (for the people like me who weren't told until AFTER sending payment).

I spent all day at the SV autocross. I would say between 40-50 runs. The course was small, but flowed quite well. Emilio and William put down the fastest times. Congrats to them. I was back in 3rd.

that's because we found out Abbott was showing up. so put super tight anti-Corvette turns
next time, don't say till after the course is layed out.

Abbott was my autocross instructor earlier this year.
