Last Minute Changes

Post by Jonathan Lugod »

So!!! Who else out there is making last minute changes to their car's before the tour? Right now im just changing out some exhaust gaskets and putting more stickers on the car in the garage. Nothing major, just checking to see if anyone is doing anything as well.

Unfortunately, I screwed stuff up, so I'm trying to fix it.
The test n' tune course is actually going to be used for test n' tune on Friday.

Hopefully making the driver seat slide further up.
My back is seriously hurting from slouching down to reach the pedals

Well I'll be doing some real last minute stuff this time...Took everything apart last night and found a blown right front shock, I'll be installing front shocks on Friday morning in the Qualcomm parking lot. Awesome. :unimpressed:

But you know what really is Awesome? My competitor Steve Ekstrand is going to loan me his old front shocks so Shauna and I can get through the weekend.
Steve, you are the MAN thank you so much. :king:

I believe those shocks are NOT shortened FYI. Steve used the ground control top hats like I do.

Steve are these revalved but kept at the same length? I just don't want Seb to have issues with travel if he reuses his stock hats.

I only have the stock top hats, but at this point beggars can't be choosers.

I'm going to be running the Mustang on new tires for the first time...well, actually, we ran it on new BFG's for the SportsCar test in this month's magazine, but it will be for the first time on new Hoosiers...I've been doing with cast offs for the last six months :P

I don't think it should do anything except give it more grip!

They are revalved and stock length.

I don't have the GC top hats with me. Just the shocks.

The last thing I did was decide to ditch the shock box with the hats, other springs, some bump stops, and the SPSS3 shortened shocks. Decided I had too much in the trailer and we had to camp for two nights with the car and all the stuff inside so I was dumping extras. Really stupid to bring the old sports and not the GC hats and sleeves. I couldn't use them because I don't have the sleeves.

SEB!!! You have the GC sleeves and perches right? These are just bare shocks. Do you need fronts or rears. I think the rears are not for off and with the toyo's a little higher rear ride height might be the ticket anyway. If you raise each side an even amount it should not through off your corner weights.
