i personally didn't mind the shaking camera either. the clips were edited/cut to be simply a short clip to give you a sense of what the inside of the car may feel like at 170+.. it would actually be kinda eerie if it was quiet and calm like the Veyron going 250.

it's not like they intended you to read the gauge cluster.. :P

I haven't watched Top Gear U.K. so I don't have a frame of reference but the Cobra Gunship, vs. Viper seems way to contrived. Nice touch with the kill box but still cheese, sort of like the C-130 background images? Really what does a 1950's ear military cargo plane have to do with sports cars.

Like the track sections but the track graphic location tends to get in the way. Not something I would go out of my way to stay home and watch. Might DVR. Nice of them to put it online.

Me thinks someone left the can of E85 open inside the house. If I get time will look it up, I don't watch very much TV, Football, racing and Ghost Hunters are a pretty much my menu. Are past shows available online?

Well went to the website to watch some UK Top Gear and it comes back unavailable in my area. The new show didn't get a break against the tried and true, reviews were brutal.

It's on BBC America in Time Warner areas

You can Bit Torrent it, I believe that's the term, from various sites apparently. We have an english bloke ax'er that seems to get the latest episodes within minutes of them appearing on english TV?! I've never been able to figure out how to do it ... I think it involves magical I.T. powers. Maybe it's a Mac problem ... hahaha

The Bolivia special was intense. Stacey and I were just glued to the tv for that one. Amazing. No sports cars in that one though.

The link I posted for Art is a direct streaming copy on Streetfire. If he likes it, I'll explain torrents to him over the weekend.

It was OK considering there wasn't one Lamborghini in the show

Actually it was brilliant and Karen and I were glued to the screen!

Thanks Max ...

You'll probably enjoy this episode as well - not a car in sight!

btw. Arthur ... that show was very atypical! You need to look at a regular show ... which is usually a mixture of challenges, tests, celebrity in a cheap car, and studio banter

As of now, just the recent series are availible. They show the early series, but they're unknown release dates (which might mean never).

The one where they try to kill a Hi Lux or the one where they drive one to the North Pole? The former is funny and pretty amazing. The latter was cool too.

I liked Fraulein Schmidt trying to beat Clarkson's time around the Ring in a Ford Transit van. All she needed was better tires! Hammond looked genuinely scared ...

I think they were both genuinely scared  .

This was my favorite one. I had this episode saved on my DVR until my son erased it so he could have more space to record Sponge Bob  . Can't wait for it come on again so I can save it.

you'd rather go back to watching "Pimp my Ride" I think that's your loss.
Guess he's not a QV fan ;-)
I'm concerned about it being on the History channel. Usually not a place people pick up programs, Discovery channel would have been better, but then that's gotten very main stream with it's sucesses. Anyone know if there's other BBC owned channels in our line up?

I'm looking forward to a goofy challenge. I saw in an upcoming episode discription (maybe 3rd) they're going to buy $1000 cars. I'll be interested to see how that bit translates.

Read the whole thread on HondaTech. Amazing how some people are such haters. Don't like it? Don't watch it and just go away! Cool that Rut posted there and explained away the crap some people were saying.

Is there room for improvement? Sure. But the episode I was in the audience for was mostly entertaining. I'll keep watching it.

Toyota Hi Lux is the vehicle of choice for insugents and terroists the world over. Also low budget militaries. Remarkable vehicle and popular enough to actually be counterfited.
