Hi guys
I got an oil temp gauge which came with an oil temp probe. Where should I mount this?
The car has an oil cooler, so I was wondering is this should be plugged
a) Before the oil cooler
b) After the oil cooler
c) At the oil pan close to the draining hole
Thanks
Chris

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem

I think Randy has the right idea. Ideally you'd put a sensor in all of those places but the most useful is the temp of the oil right before it goes into the engine/bearings.

Re: Where should I mount the Oil Temp sensor?
Thanks Randy and Marshall.
From what I recall I have the remote oil filter after the oil cooler (thinking that it's nice to filter everything before goes back in the engine), so that's the temperature of the oil right before it goes into the engine/bearings.
Now I need to make sure there is space in my engine bay and order the Sandwich plate...
