The SCCA website went down a few minutes ago. I was able to see the Fastrack from Gio's link before the site went down.

Totally!

The things that jumped out where things like BMW M3 (E46, E36) moving from BSP to CSP (along with the Mazda RX-8).
The move from BSP to ASP for the Mitsubishi Evolution has been tabled for now.
Something about strut bars for ST cars

But basically this month's Solo section of FasTrack is a LONG one. A nice read :) Until SCCA.COM website went down.

STREET TOURING
- In light of further member input received since its prior meeting, and per the unanimous recommendation of the STAC, the
SEB has reconsidered its earlier decision and is recommending the following change to the BOD, effective 1/1/2011:
- Delete 14.2.F

Looks like the cone penalty assessment is being changed. Instead of a cone touching the box line being OK (non-penalty), it has to touch the inner edge of the line to be OK.

2011
“A clearly-visible line around its base will mark the location of each pylon. The inner edge of the line will be used to
describe the outer edge of the pylon base as accurately as possible and this inner edge will be the penalty limit. If
the pylon is upset or totally displaced outside the penalty limit, two seconds will be assessed. At Regional events,
local methods for locating pylons may be used. The diagram provided herein should help clarify situations in which
penalties should and should not be assessed.”
Current
A line two inches wide or two lines two inches apart will describe the
location of each pylon. (If two lines are used the distance between the
inner edge of the inner line to the outside edge of the outer line will be
two inches plus or minus 1/4”.) The inner edge or inner line will be used
to describe the outer edge of the pylon base as accurately as possible
and the outer edge or outer line will be the penalty limit. If the pylon is
upset or totally displaced outside the penalty limit, two seconds will be
assessed.

Oh snap, dumping wings AND spoilers. Everyone come on over to SP+ if you aren't Stock legal in your body.

“7.9.2 Displaced or Downed Pylons on Course
A competitor encountering a downed or displaced pylon on course has the option of continuing the run or stopping
as soon as possible, and pointing out the downed or displaced pylon to a course worker. If the competitor stops,
he or she must proceed off course and will then be granted a rerun. However, if the competitor completes the run,
the time will stand.”

Not good for Seb  He has a good eye for those downed/displaced cones!

Is this a section we have to follow? Basically means you have to red flag all cars on course as a slow moving car along the outside of the course would almost always be considered a safety hazard. People can often point out down/out cones without impacting following cars.

7.4 tells you how to exit the course after stopping for a down/out cone.
